A PART OF THE PROCESS FEW ATTORNEYS TOUCH
An overpayment notice after years of benefits can feel like starting over.
It’s one of the most misunderstood parts of Social Security disability law — and one of the most important to get right. I help clients dispute incorrect overpayment determinations and prepare for continuing disability reviews, work that many attorneys pass on entirely.

*Disclaimer of Services & Fee Structure
Services are limited to representation before the Social Security Administration (SSA), and Jasmine Chandler is admitted to practice by the Alabama State Bar and is not authorized to provide legal services related to the law of any other state; for contingency fee cases—such as disability claims adjudicated at the Appeals Council level or below—fees are limited to 25% of the past-due benefits payable to the primary beneficiary and any eligible auxiliaries, subject to the maximum fee cap set by the Commissioner of Social Security (currently $9,200), and additional costs related to your case (e.g., obtaining medical records) may be billed separately. All consultations are conducted virtually, and since legal language can be confusing, here’s what it means: Jasmine is licensed to practice law in Alabama, and because Social Security is a federal program, she can represent you in your Social Security case no matter where you live in the U.S.—however, she can’t give legal advice or represent you in other kinds of legal matters, like contracts, wills, or estate planning, outside of Alabama, as her legal services are strictly limited to Social Security representation.
